Saison-Start im Raurisertal...

Alles blüht, die Vogerl zwitschern und die Wiesen erstrahlen im schönsten Grün, Gelb und Weiss. Der Frühling ist im Raurisertal angekommen.

Der erste Höhepunkt der Saison ist die Almsommer-Eröffnung am 17. Juni 2012, im wunderschönen Seidlwinkltal. Im „Tal der Pilger und Säumer“ feiern Sie mit uns und erleben Brauchtum und Natur auf der Gollehenalm (1.286m) und auf der Palfneralm (1.384m). Für musikalische Unterhaltung sorgen die Rauriser Trachtenmusikkapelle, die Rauriser Tanzlmusi, die Eschenauer Tanzlmusi und die Heimatgruppe Rauris.

Heute regnet es leider...

... aber das heißt nicht, dass es kein guter Tag ist.

Im Raurisertal gibt es genug zu tun - eine Führung durch das Talmuseum läßt in die faszinierende Geschichte des Tales blicken, oder eine Regen-Wanderung mit guter Kleidung ins kinderfreundliche Seidlwinkltal. Goldwaschen kann man zu jeder Jahreszeit und bei jedem Wetter und einfach ausspannen und die Wieshof "Wohlfühl-Oase" genießen tut Körper und Geist gut.

Rauris – valley of multiplicity

Over 150 km of marked hiking paths give you the perfect opportunity to get to know the beautiful Rauris Valley. Offering beautiful scenery and outstanding hiking are the romantic Seidlwinkel Valley, with the 500 year-old Rauriser Tauernhaus, the Krumltal and Bräualm where you'll also walk alongside the roosts of the recently reintroduced Bearded Vultures.

• Whether at a rustic country inn or an internationally acclaimed restaurant, the Raurisertals´  dining establishments invite you to sample the best the region has to offer. Numerous organic farmers offer products from their own farm. With an abundance of love and true to ages-old recipes, an array of Pinzgau delicacies come to your table. Up at the mountain huts, hikers are treated to home-made delicacies created by the farmer’s wife herself. Every thursday in July till September a market with regional products between  1.00 pm an 4 pm at the market place.

• Guided Walk in the Rauris valley - Nationalpark Hohe Tauern: In no other part of the Hohe Tauern the history of the former gold rush as well as the geological build up of the main rage is as visible as around the base of the Rauriser Sonnblick. Also, you will have the chance to learn more about the glaciers having formed the valleys as well as the influence of climate change on the glaciers and the National Park.

• The history of the highest observatory of the alps operated the whole year is connected with Ignaz Rojacher, the founder of the observatory. With unbelievable will and perseverance and simplest means of transport and building in the end  of 19. century a mountain top observatory was built on 3.106m in the Tauern, in order to be able to study procedures in higher layers of the atmosphere. Since this time meteorological data are measured and collected. For weeks on end in the winter, this weather station's only contact with the outside world is by telephone. But day in, day out, it continues to transfer vital data for weather forecasts, hydrology, radiology and air chemistry to European research centers.
